My son was only 4 weeks old when these pictures were taken in 2005. Little did I know about the journey I was about to embark on. I would love to share with you my personal experience of finding loving, qualified, affordable childcare for him - the most precious thing in my life. Like me, I know that you want the same for your own children.
After my first experience with hiring a live-in childcare provider, I realized how much time and effort this search can take. Time that I needed for my family and my career. At the time, I was working for a large, global institutional asset management company. There were no au pair agencies that offered the right combination of highly qualified candidates and the personal touch that I was looking for. So I did what any businesswoman would do in that situation - I founded my own au pair agency. This not only helped me to ensure that my family would have a pool of qualified childcare providers to choose from, but it also allowed me to introduce many wonderful, educated professional au pair candidates to my friends and colleagues.

Apex PROaupair is a U.S. Department of State designated au pair agency, and the only agency to have approval for a Special Needs au pair program.
Our carefully screened candidates are looking to continue and advance their careers in childcare and exchange their knowledge and love of children for the opportunity to live with an American family, experience the "American Way of Life", and to gain valuable experience in childcare in the United States. We recruit our loving professionals in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, the United Kingdom, and other European countries and with an increase in families who would like their children to learn Mandarin, we also recruit pediatric nurses and teachers from China.
Our professional au pairs have at least two years of theoretical and/or practical education in a childcare-related field, or a minimum of one year full-time childcare experience. They all speak proficient English, and most hold a certificate or degree from their home country in fields such as:
- Early Childhood Development
- Pediatric Nursing (Baby Nurses)
- Nursery, Kindergarten, or Elementary School Teaching
- Special Needs Education
- Occupational or Physical Therapy
Some of our professional au pairs can start in as little as four to six weeks after final selection.
