Shadow Animals
German au pair Elody in Northern California and her host kids (above) thought of a great way to learn about animals! Simply have your host children trace the outline of their favorite creature onto a plain piece of paper which they can color in later too. While the kids are concentrating, tell them some fun facts about the animal they are focusing on.

Sidewalk Chalk Anatomy
Teach your children about human anatomy by tracing their outlines onto the sidewalk and then coloring in features like the heart or stomach. This is the perfect way to visually illustrate the inner workings of the human body to kids!

Bubble Pop Race
Blow bubbles with your kids and see who can pop the most in 30 seconds! While you’re playing, you can teach them about why bubbles float. Hint: It has to do with the density of the air inside and outside of the bubble.
